Child and Adolescent Counseling
Just like adults, kids have a lot of stress and responsibilities in their lives. Learning to balance the expectations of school, friends, family, extracurriculars, and other commitments can start to feel overwhelming. Growing up is an exciting time, but also a very challenging time as kids seek to figure out who they are and where they fit in.
I work with kids from ages 10+ dealing with a variety of different issues, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, ADHD, family stress, life transitions, bullying, coping skills, and emotion regulation problems.
Many kids are hesitant to talk with a stranger about their problems at first, which is why I work hard to make sure I build strong trust and rapport with each of the kids I work with. I want to ensure that my office feels like a safe and comfortable place for kids to open up and explore the issues that they are struggling with, and I work to help them gain the confidence and skills they need to live balanced, fulfilled lives.
